Free Runner

Concept art for a Free Runner – one of several character designs I created as part of a tabletop roleplaying game I’m working on. This is a more combat-oriented form of the typical parkour expert, inspired in large part by the video game Mirror’s Edge, in which you take the role of a free runner who is also skilled in unarmed combat, and makes use of the city’s terrain (walls, obstacles, etc) to effect leaping strikes and takedowns. The character illustrated here wields a pair of tonfa. And yes, the yellow satchel is a nod to Mirror’s Edge.
