For my brother-in-law’s 40th birthday, his wife hired me to do an art piece for him, but left the concept up to me. Because the birthday boy is a huge fan of fast cars and the 80’s television show Magnum P.I., it was’t difficult to arrive at the idea of doing a semi-cartoon version of him in the Ferrari. The finished piece was a framed 21″ x 17″ poster with dozens of anecdotes from Mike’s friends and family arranged around the drawing. He loved it.
