I was listening to an episode of Aisha Tyler’s Girl on Guy podcast when the host and her guest – both comic book superhero fans – reminisced about growing up with an almost entirely European-based pantheon of superheroes. It was then that I thought of reimagining Wonder Woman, one of the world’s most iconic superheroes, as being of African descent. This illustration was the result.
